While driving our routes, we occasionally see a stray or lost dog roaming unfamiliar territory. We make it a priority to call the local authorities to have the animal returned to its home. When there is no home, we turn in the dog to the Cuyahoga County Kennel or The Animal Protective League. In some cases, we may take it to the Gateway Animal Clinic for a check up so the dog can stay with us while we find it a permanent home.
When adding a new pet to your family consider adoption through a local animal shelter, humane society or rescue group. We have compiled a list of many of the shelters in Northeast Ohio on this page. We can also recommend rescue groups for almost any breed of dog, just call or e-mail us for a list of phone numbers.
